One of the very few articles tying pump prices to the dollar as it should be. Its the dollar that sets 90% of the price at the pump.

If only it was supply &demand mastermariner. Hasn't been for quite some time & being in Texas thought you'd realize that most...after all why ship oil all the way to Texas for refining(with weather issues) - certainly not normal bus. practices.

These higher gas prices are hurting the consumer, and retailers are feeling it now.

We will experience higher prices before we experience any relief. Our driving expenses will never be the same.

The oil companies 'greed' is based on fear. Fear of what Obama has waiting for them around the corner.

Amazing, we see a drop of $2-$3 on the barrel price, we get a 1 penny drop at the pump over the last 2 DAYS, but if it had gone up $2-$3 per barrel we would see a quick jump of 30-40 cents same day usually before noon, so people can't get gas at the lower price at lunch time. It will take a week of seeing $92-$93 per barrel to see a drop of 10-15 cents. GREED, GREED, GREED...

U.S. Debt Clock
As progressive politicians continue to spend our dollars into toilet paper it takes more of them to buy fuel, food, and everything else.
We the People need to drag our representatives (kicking and screaming if necessary) back to fiscal responsibility.

Dollars are getting cheaper as we overspend our budgets and print more money to cover it.

This story is bogus. I am not saying it lies but if you know the facts you realize the story only used the selective info it wants to. The dollar has been trading around 78-80 for the last few years and today it is a little over 81 but that may not hold, just watch it for yourself. The oil price reported on KITCO had been up to 97/98 in the last week or two. Today it is trading under $93. If you want to follow this stuff and make a prediction you need to also look at the longterm and not just today. Listen to the stock report today (Friday) that the news media will report. They will say the market closed up or down so many points but they are referring to Friday only. The week increase or decrease may be just the opposite of what they have just reported. Correct information is valuable and is not usually given for free. You need to discover and affirm it for yourself.

According to GasBuddy the price of crude dropped fron $97.44 on 2/15 to $93.13 today 2/22 but the price at the pump here went from $3.35 to $3.55.
What's the deal?

Of course if it bounces even a penny higher, it will be an excuse to raise pump prices even higher.
