It won't get better until we get a new administration. It's going to be a long 4 years.

After Bush got lambasted in the press for a few weeks; the media does not have the same outrage under Obama.

we could be energy independent in five years if we did not export our oil and gas. all the oil we drill in alaska gets shipped away, makes no sense to me.

We as a nation got what we voted for. The problem, as I see it, is that not all of us voted for this.

mama: I think where ppl are frustrated is the discrepancy between what a barrel costs and the pump prices. It used to be that a barrel of crude was maybe %75 and the pump prices were in the upper 1.xx to maybe low 2.xx. Now they're mid- to upper 3.xx only a few short years later.

The only reason people are complaining is because they don't have a piece of the profits themselves...these same complainers have an opportunity to take advantage of this last Deregulation and they won't because they don't like change...change is going to happend whether you like it or not...stop being a knuckehead and help the economy and yourself~~otherwise stop complaining

So whose fault is it that the gas prices are up. I remember when gas was .15-.25 cent a gallon. Whose fault was it then til now. It's so easy to blame Obama, but who was in office before him? Did we blame those people? Don't get it twisted...prices go up, it's called life~

Actually Henry's work guaranteed us much needed oil in a time technology didn't give us access to new product such as we see now. He should be given another button or something.

Foreign policy work that Henry Kissinger did in the '70s with the middle east, specifically Saudi Arabia, is what's originally to blame for the suppression of petroleum independence in the US. And, subsequently, every administration has been culpable in failing to address that. Why?

Yep. Obama campaigned on this issue in 2008 and the people (not me) voted him back in again; so expect more of the same.

With simple inflation, this is the headline every year.
Just with the current state of the country and world, it's multiplied.
